Defense of the Ancients or DotA is a multipalyer online battle arena mod for video game Warcraft III Reign of Chaos and its expansion, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, and developer known as "IceFrog" developing the game since 2005.

Since it's original release, DotA has become a feature at several worldwide tournaments.

 

The Gameplay

The game start with 2 Teams, Sentinel vs Scourge. Each human player control one hero, each hero has their own special skill. Intelligent, Agility and Strength type Hero. The scenario is highly team-oriented, Defense of the Ancients allow up to ten players in five vs five. buying item that suit one's hero is an important tactical element, certain items can be combined with recipes to create more powerful items. max level for hero are 25. The Victory given to the team who destroyed enemy Ancients at their Base (The World tree for Sentinel and the Frozen Throne for Scourge), of course it's not an easy task. there are 3 line each interconnected and there are also 3 Towers for each line for both side.Of course, this is just the basic outline of Dota.
DotA combines strategy, skill, teamwork, and a little luck. DotA is relatively fast-paced for a role playing game, as a result, it can be a little difficult for beginners to get the hang of it, practice make perfect.
